Only 50 Km from Diani beach lies one of the only tropical rain forests remaining in the coastal region of Kenya, home to the famous sable antelopes and the forest elephants of Shimba.

program of the day

1230Hrs. after a heavy brunch (lunch) we head for the the Shimba hills

1300Hrs. arrive gate, pick up armed rangers for the game walk down to the famous Sheldrick Falls, Bikinis and swim wear advisable, swim under the cold water streaming down from the Mkurumuji River

1600Hrs. with the sun cooling off all the animals come out of hiding and we get to see all that Shimba has to offer, giraffes, sable antelopes, heartebeasts, impalas, forest elephants, reed bucks and many more

1745Hrs. we exit the National park and head to a secret heaven, passing through the indigenous villages of the Digo tribesmen

1800Hrs. we arrive our view point, 600mts above sea level, beautiful hills with rivers flowing past we pop a few bottles of champagne as the sun sets in front of us

1830Hrs. we head back to lodge and arrive by 1930Hrs . Mode of transport will be a mix of antique safari jeeps and safari buses.
